Education
Szymon began his academic journey at the 1st General Secondary School in ChrzanĆ³w, where he studied a biological-chemical-physical profile. He later graduated from the Silesian Medical University (2013-2019) with a degree in medicine, and since 2020, has been a doctoral student at the same universityās Department of Psychiatry.
Ā Work Experience
Szymon has amassed considerable professional experience in psychiatry. Since May 2023, he has worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Psychiatry within the Medical University of Silesia. He is also a resident physician at the Clinical Department of Psychiatry in Tarnowskie GĆ³ry. Previously, he completed a postgraduate internship and gained experience as a resident physician at the Provincial Specialist Hospital No. 4 in Bytom.

Szymon is proficient in English (B2 level) and French (B1 level), with basic knowledge of Czech (A1). His medical and research expertise includes psychiatric care, mental health analysis, and consultation psychiatry.
Awards & Honors
Throughout his career, Szymon has achieved multiple accolades, including being a finalist in the International Diagnostic Competition (InSimu 2018). He also won 1st place in the Radiology session at SIMC 2017 and 2nd place in 2018.

Ā Teaching Experience
In his current role as a research and teaching assistant, Szymon is involved in guiding students and contributing to their education in psychiatry. His work also extends to presenting his research at national and international conferences.

Szymon’s research interests are centered around consultation psychiatry and exploring new markers for mental disorders. He has worked on projects like analyzing the mental state of patients with keratoconus and studying neuronal concentration of free circulating DNA in schizophrenia patients. He has authored or co-authored 26 scientific publications with a cumulative impact factor of 18.671.
