Mr. Cherif Ben Ammar is a Tunisian researcher specializing in Materials Chemistry and Metallurgy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Materials and Metallurgy, both from the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, Tunisia. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax and the Polytechnic School of Girona. Mr. Ben Ammar’s research interests focus on high-entropy alloys, specifically their mechanical properties and magnetic characteristics, produced through high-energy ball milling. In addition to his academic pursuits, he has gained practical experience as a Quality Control Manager for Lacmetal, a company in the aluminum coating industry. Mr. Ben Ammar has also completed a research internship at the Polytechnic School of Girona, Spain, under the Erasmus+ Exchange Program.

Education 🎓:

Mr. Cherif Ben Ammar completed his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, Tunisia, in 2018. He then pursued a Master’s degree in Chemistry, specializing in Materials and Metallurgy, from the same institution, graduating in 2020. Currently, he is working towards his Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry with a focus on materials and metallurgy at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax and the Polytechnic School of Girona (UdG), where his research primarily explores high-entropy alloys produced by high-energy ball milling.

Work Experience 💼:

Mr. Cherif Ben Ammar has gained valuable professional experience in both research and industry. Since October 2023, he has served as a Quality Control Manager for Lacmetal, a company specializing in aluminum coating within the MAS Group in Sfax, Tunisia. In this role, he conducts regular visual inspections of products coated through powder coating, tests coating thickness and adhesion, and ensures compliance with the QUALIMARINE/QUALICOAT Certification standards. Prior to this, Mr. Ben Ammar completed a research internship at the Polytechnic School of Girona, Spain, from February 2022 to January 2023, where he worked in the field of materials chemistry under the supervision of Professor Joan-Josep Suñol. Additionally, he taught chemistry at Cambridge Worldwide Academy in Tunis between September 2021 and February 2022, delivering both theoretical and practical lessons in English. His early career also includes earning his Master’s degree in Materials and Metallurgy from the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, further strengthening his expertise in the field.

Mr. Cherif Ben Ammar’s research focuses on materials chemistry and metallurgy, with a particular emphasis on the development and characterization of high-performance materials. His research interests include the production of high-entropy alloys (HEAs) through mechanical alloying, specifically studying the microstructural and magnetic properties of these alloys. He has also explored the use of high-energy ball milling to produce Fe30Co20Ni20Mn20Al10 HEA alloys, aiming to enhance their mechanical properties. His work contributes to the broader field of materials science, where he seeks to innovate and improve the functionality of materials used in various industrial applications. Additionally, Mr. Ben Ammar is interested in advancing the powder coating process, focusing on improving the quality control and efficiency of aluminum coating systems.
