Vratislav is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Electronics and Photonics at Slovak Technical University, Bratislava, Slovakia. He holds a Bachelor of Electronics from the same university, specifically from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. Additionally, he completed his Electrical Technician studies at the Secondary Industrial School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Nitra, Slovakia.
Work Experience š¼:
Since 2018, Vratislav has worked as a Research Worker at both Slovak Technical University and Powertec SRO in Bratislava, focusing on the design, production, and characterization of electronic and sensory structures. Between 2016 and 2019, he served as an Assistant Research Worker at Nanodesign SRO, where he developed gas sensors and measurement workplaces. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2017, he worked as an Electromechanic for Stuba Green Team, contributing to telemetry and customized IoT devices for industrial motors. In 2015, he worked at Reletronic SRO as a Technik, designing high-power switching modules and smart systems.
Skills š
Vratislav possesses a wide range of technical skills, including PCB design and production using Altium Designer, microcontroller programming with platforms like Raspberry Pi, STM32, and Arduino, and programming of PLC and automation systems. He is proficient in MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python for simulations and data processing. His research expertise includes the development of wearable organic electronics and gas sensors, advanced IoT and telemetry systems (e.g., MQTT), and structural design and 3D modeling with Autodesk Fusion 360 and SolidWorks.
Awards and Honors š
Vratislav has received several prestigious awards throughout his career, including the Student of the Year award in 2018 for his outstanding academic and research contributions. He was also honored with the Prize of the Czechoslovak IEEE Section for excellence in electronics and photonics research. Other accolades include the Governor’s Award for VysoÄina Region in 2015 for his technical ideas and innovations, as well as multiple Deanās Awards for academic excellence. Additionally, he placed 3rd in the “Technical Idea of the Year” competition in 2016 and 1st in the all-Slovak competition ENERSOL in 2015.

Vratislav is an active member of Ynet, where he contributes to the development of IoT devices, including smart readers and access systems. He is also involved with Stuba Green Team, where he has designed telemetry and control systems for formula vehicles.
Teaching Experience š©āš«:
Vratislav has mentored students in practical applications of electronics. He supervises projects related to PCB production and microcontroller programming, leads workshops on IoT systems and automation technologies, and provides hands-on training in MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python for data processing.
