Dr. Sandeep Agnihotri | Cognitive Neuroscience | Best Researcher Award
Research Associate at Guangdong Institute of Intelligence Science and Technology, China
🎓
Education 🎓:
Sandeep Kumar Agnihotri holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India, awarded in 2013. His doctoral research focused on the regulation of cadmium-mediated stress responses in mammalian systems. Prior to this, he earned an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of Allahabad in 2006 and a B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, in 2000. He has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, securing full scholarships and top honors throughout his academic journey.
Work Experience 💼:
With over 15 years of extensive experience, Sandeep is currently a Research Associate at the Guangdong Institute of Intelligence Science and Technology (GDIIST) in China. He collaborates with Suiren Medical Technology to develop diagnostic tools for neurological disorders using EEG, fNIR, and AI data technology. Previously, he worked as a Senior Research Officer at Suiren Medical Technology and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Neuroscience (CEBSIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai. His work includes investigating cancer-associated fibroblasts in retinoblastoma and exploring the metabolic effects of neural stem cells.
🧬 Skills
Sandeep possesses a diverse skill set, including advanced cell biology techniques (3D culture, stem cell isolation, microscopy), molecular biology (CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, RNAseq analysis), biochemical techniques (enzyme assays, proteomics), and neurobiological tools (stereotaxic injections, neuronal structure analysis). He is proficient in software like MATLAB, Python, R, ImageJ, FlowJo, and RNAseq tools for data analysis. He is also skilled in conducting behavioral studies on mice and applying AI-driven methods for Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
Awards and Honors🏆
Sandeep has received numerous accolades, including scholarships for his Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs, and the prestigious Meritorious Students Award from the University Grants Commission (UGC) in India. His Ph.D. at JNU, ranked among the top universities globally, further underscores his academic prowess.
📚 Teaching Experience
As part of his commitment to knowledge sharing, Sandeep has mentored several researchers and students throughout his career. His expertise in cellular biology, proteomics, and neurobiology has been shared via workshops and practical training sessions, including those on mass spectrometry and advanced proteomics at JNU.
