Bijetri Biswas, also known as Immi, is a dedicated academic professional and EEG specialist currently residing in London, UK. Bijetri’s academic journey began with a BSc (Hons) in Neuropsychology from the University of Central Lancashire (2015-2018), where her thesis explored the influence of sleep on emotional voice recognition through EEG studies. She then pursued an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Nottingham (2019-2020), with a thesis focused on developing a multi-modal imaging protocol using MRI to measure visual function in stroke patients. Continuing her academic pursuits, Bijetri completed another MSc, this time in Digital Health and Care at the University of Bristol (2020-2021), where she researched digital measures to augment personalized care in clinical trials for neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, she is completing a PhD at the same university (2021-2024) as part of the EPSRC CDT program, with a project titled “Neurotechnologies to monitor sleep and develop soft robotics for neurodegenerative patients.”

Bijetri has gained extensive professional experience across diverse roles in both academic and clinical settings. Since April 2024, she has been serving as a lecturer in health at the London School of Science and Technology, where she teaches and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Alongside this, she works as an EEG specialist at NeuroX, where she monitors and interprets brain activity to aid in diagnosing neurological disorders such as epilepsy. Since 2020, she has been contributing to the North Bristol Trust as an Honorary Cognitive Disorders Associate, where she assists in neuropsychological assessments and contributes to multidisciplinary discussions for patient care. Her earlier experience includes roles such as an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Fairlie Healthcare, a Technical Consultant at AniBotics Limited, and an Assistant Psychologist at Cygnet Hospital. She also gained valuable experience working as a helpline counsellor, business consultant, and SEN teaching assistant in various organizations.

She is proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and Java, and has expertise in UNIX/Linux systems. In the field of neuroscience and clinical research, she has hands-on experience with FSL for neuroimaging analysis, as well as SPSS and R for statistical analyses. Additionally, she is skilled in NVIVO for qualitative data analysis and RedCap for managing research data. Her proficiency also extends to Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and she has experience with Fusion 360 for design purposes.

She was awarded a prestigious internship on the Dean’s List at the University of Central Lancashire during her undergraduate studies, from 2016 to 2018. In 2021, she completed Good Clinical Practice training through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), further cementing her expertise in ethical research practices. Additionally, she received Phlebotomy Training from the CPD Group in 2023 and completed Safeguarding Training for Child Abuse and Neglect in 2019 through Manchester Safeguarding.

Bijetri’s teaching experience is diverse, spanning multiple disciplines and academic levels. As a lecturer at the London School of Science and Technology, she leads courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, focusing on health-related subjects. She has also contributed to research on digital health measures that personalize care delivery in clinical trials for neurodegenerative diseases.
