In 2014-2015, she completed a two-month training and certification in MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist), excelling in Office Word (90/100) and Office Excel 2010 (95/100) on her first attempt. Additionally, she attended a one-day training session in 2013-2014 on EXAO utilisation in physics and chemistry practical work using GLX at Allal Ibn Abdellah College, following a three-day training on the same topic in 2011-2012 at Ibn Abbad High School. Earlier, in 2010-2011, she participated in a one-week training program for CAPES practical preparation under the guidance of the Regional Coordinator Inspector at Chaouia-Ouardigha Academy.
Education:
She earned her PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from Moulay Ismail University, Meknès (2001–2004), conducting research at the Laboratory of Applied Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Ferhate Guenoun. Her thesis, titled “Synthesis of Novel Tetrazolic and Triazolic Derivatives of α-Aminoadipic and Pipecolic Acids,” was awarded the highest distinction and defended on July 26, 2004. The examination committee included President Prof. Mustapha El Idrissi (Faculty of Science, Meknès), reviewers Prof. Najib Ben Larbi and Prof. Abdelrhani Elachqar (Faculty of Science-Dhar El Mehraz, Fès), and examiners Prof. Touria Zair, Prof. Frédéric Lamaty, Prof. Bouchra Tazi, Prof. Abdelouahid Sbai, and Prof. Farhate Guenoun. Prior to her PhD, she completed a DESA in Natural Substance Chemistry at Moulay Ismail University (1998–2001) and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah University (1996–1997).
Experiences
She has amassed extensive professional experience in academia and research over the years. From 2023 to 2024, she served as an Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Technology in Tangier, Morocco, following her tenure from 2019 to 2023 in the same role at the Faculty of Science, Ibn Zohr University, Agadir. Prior to this, she dedicated nearly a decade (2010-2019) to teaching Physics and Chemistry at Ibn Abbad High School and Ibn al Khatib High School in Settat. Between 2017 and 2019, she also taught Physics and Chemistry for the International Baccalaureate (French Option) at Ibn al Khatib High School and Azzaytoune School in Settat. Her academic excellence was recognized in 2017-2018 when she ranked second in the competitive recruitment for an Assistant Professor position in Organic Chemistry at ENS Casablanca. Additionally, she contributed as a jury member for the CAPES practical exam in Physics and Chemistry in Settat from 2013 to 2015.
Her qualifications include obtaining the CAPES certification in Physics and Chemistry in 2011-2012, during which she also taught scientific translation (Physics and Chemistry) at Ibn al Khatib High School. She expanded her teaching expertise by instructing Mathematics at Ibn Abbad High School, Settat, in 2010-2011. Her academic credentials are further strengthened by her qualification as a Lecturer by the French CNU for the period 2008-2012. She gained postdoctoral research experience at the Laboratory of Macromolecular Chemistry, ENS Lyon, in 2007-2008 under the supervision of Professors Jean-Pierre Dutasta and Patrick Berthault (CEA Saclay) and at the Laboratory of Amino Acids, Peptides, and Proteins (LAPP), Faculty of Science, Montpellier, in 2005-2006 under Dr. Frédéric Lamaty and Prof. Jean Martinez.
In 2004-2005, she actively participated in research projects and national and international scientific events, earning postdoctoral funding from the Francophone University Agency (AUF). Her PhD research in Organic Chemistry was conducted from 2001 to 2004 at the Laboratory of Applied Chemistry in Meknès, which included a 24-month research internship at the LAPP Laboratory, Faculty of Science, Montpellier, from 2002 to 2004. Prior to her doctoral work, she focused on synthesis and molecular modeling at the Laboratory of Applied Chemistry, Meknès, in 2001-2002. Her academic journey began with a DESA dissertation on the “Synthesis of δ-Tetrazolic Homoglutamic Acids” under the supervision of Prof. Farhate Guenoun in 2000-2001.
