She began her academic journey by earning a degree in Biochemistry with a specialization in Biotechnology from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry in 1996, graduating with honors. Driven by a passion for medical sciences, she continued her studies and completed a degree in Pharmacy from the same faculty in 2002. Her commitment to advancing her expertise led her to pursue a Masterâs in Medical Molecular Biology from 2018 to 2020, where she focused on genetic mutations linked to hearing loss. She successfully defended her thesis titled, “Genotyping of Frequent Mutations in Patients with Non-Syndromic Hearing Loss”, in May 2023, receiving an outstanding grade of 10/10.Mariela’s education reflects her dedication to both foundational sciences and advanced medical research, making her an expert in the intersection of biochemistry, pharmacy, and molecular biology.

đź Â Mariela has extensive professional experience in clinical laboratories. She served as the Technical Director of a private clinical analysis laboratory in Vicente LĂłpez from 1998 to 2021 and has worked as a biochemist in the bacteriology department. Her hands-on experience includes positions in various laboratories, both in the public and private sectors, contributing to her expertise in clinical analysis and laboratory management.
