Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Apidechkul is an Associate Professor and public health epidemiologist at Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand, specializing in epidemiology and global health with a strong focus on health equity. His research centers on strengthening health systems to improve access to healthcare services for hill tribe and stateless populations along the Thailand–Myanmar border. He is the Founder and Director of the Center of Excellence for Hill Tribe Health Research, collaborating closely with the Ministry of Public Health and WHO Thailand. A former Dean of the School of Health Science, Dr. Apidechkul currently chairs the Ph.D. programs in Epidemiology and Vaccinology at MFU. His scholarly contributions include publications in high-impact journals such as Vaccine. His work has generated significant societal impact by informing immunization policies and advancing equitable healthcare delivery for marginalized communities.
