Dr. Asmaa Abdelmaksoud, Ph.D., is a distinguished molecular biologist and pathology researcher currently serving as a Research Associate in the Department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and a Senior Fellow in the Department of Pathology at the National Liver Institute, Menoufia University, Egypt. She holds advanced degrees in molecular biology, analytical biochemistry, and histology from Menoufia and Sadat City Universities, where she also developed expertise in molecular pathology and genetic engineering. Her professional journey reflects a strong blend of academic leadership and scientific innovation, having managed the Sustainable Science Institute Collaborative Research Centre Biobank in Egypt while mentoring graduate students and leading workshops in molecular biology and pathology. Dr. Abdelmaksoud’s research interests focus on cancer biology, hepatocellular carcinoma, genetic alterations, and molecular mechanisms underlying disease progression, supported by international training experiences in Spain, France, and the United States. Her research skills encompass histopathology, molecular diagnostics, and advanced laboratory methodologies.
