Dr. R. Kalaivizhi is an accomplished academic and researcher with over two decades of teaching and research experience in engineering institutions affiliated with Anna University and SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST), where she currently serves as an Associate Professor. She earned her Ph.D. in Polymer Membranes from Anna University, Chennai, in 2012, building upon her extensive expertise in polymer science and nanotechnology. Her professional career includes roles as Lecturer at SKR Engineering College, Associate Professor at PERI Institute of Technology, and later Associate and Assistant Professor at SRM IST. She has also contributed administratively as Department In-charge, Student Counsellor, Exam Cell Coordinator, and Anna University Representative for examinations. Her research interests focus on the design and fabrication of polymer nanocomposite membranes and nanofibers using methods such as electrospinning, phase inversion, and solvent casting, with applications in wastewater treatment, drug delivery, anti-cancer therapy, wound healing, and bone tissue regeneration. Dr. Kalaivizhi is skilled in synthesizing nanomaterials, polymer composites, and membrane technology, and has guided three Ph.D. scholars to completion while mentoring several others. Her contributions have been recognized with memberships in ISTE, ISCA, IMS, and ECSI, along with active service as a reviewer for leading international journals. With three patents and numerous high-impact publications, she continues to advance polymer science and biomedical applications. In conclusion, Dr. Kalaivizhi’s career reflects academic excellence, impactful research, and a strong commitment to mentoring future scientists.
