Dr. Opeyemi Samuel Aniramu is a passionate Nigerian environmental geographer and researcher whose academic and professional career reflect an enduring commitment to sustainability, climate resilience, and geospatial innovation. He earned his degrees in Geography and Environmental Control and Management from Obafemi Awolowo University, where he is also pursuing his doctoral studies focusing on spatial assessment of urban flood dynamics and resilience strategies in Lagos Metropolis. His academic journey demonstrates excellence in environmental systems analysis, geoinformatics, and sustainable development. Professionally, he has contributed to academia and environmental education through teaching and research positions in reputable institutions, including Faith Academy and Chrisland Schools, where he served as an educator and GIS instructor. His research interests encompass flood risk management, sustainable tourism, land degradation, and climate change adaptation, with publications in leading international journals such as Sustainable Earth Reviews, Frontiers in Climate, and Journal of Environmental Sustainability. Dr. Aniramu’s research skills include geospatial analysis, GIS and remote sensing, data modeling, and environmental impact assessment. Dr. Laiq Ur Rahman is a distinguished Indian plant biotechnologist and Chief Scientist at the CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in Lucknow, where he also coordinates the Plant Biotechnology Division. He obtained his academic training in Botany from Lucknow University, earning his doctorate in plant sciences, followed by postdoctoral research in metabolic engineering at Nagasaki University in Japan. His professional journey spans extensive research and leadership experience within CSIR-CIMAP, where he advanced from scientist to chief scientist, contributing significantly to plant metabolic engineering, secondary metabolite biosynthesis, and stress-tolerant crop development. His research interests encompass plant genetic transformation, biotechnological improvement of medicinal and aromatic plants, and the use of hairy root culture systems for enhanced production of bioactive compounds. Dr. Rahman has authored over a hundred peer-reviewed research papers, books, and reviews, demonstrating expertise in metabolic pathway manipulation, gene expression analysis, and biotransformation. He has mentored several doctoral and postdoctoral scholars and led numerous national and international research projects. His scientific excellence has been recognized through prestigious honors including the Ruchi Ram Sahni Award, JSPS and BOYSCAST Fellowships, and multiple CSIR recognitions.
