He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, since December 2018. His research focuses on developing an Adaptive Optimized Residual Convolutional Image Annotation Model with a Bionic Feature Selection Strategy. He holds a Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Information Technology from Prof. Ram Meghe College of Engineering Technology and Research, Badnera (SGBAU Amravati), which he completed in December 2012 with an impressive 88.00%, securing the first merit position in the university for the summer 2012 examination. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering Technology and Research, Nanded (SRTMNU, Nanded), in June 2007, achieving a commendable 74.40%.

Work experience

He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha, since July 31, 2023. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as the Academic Coordinator of the department and has worked as a Senior Supervisor for the DBATY Winter-23 Exam at Government College of Engineering, Yavatmal.

Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor (UGC Approved, RTMNU, Nagpur) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research, Wardha, from June 14, 2011, to June 30, 2023. During this tenure, he held the position of Head of the Department from April 21, 2016, to June 30, 2023. He taught various subjects, including Distributed Operating Systems, TCP/IP, System Programming, Data Warehousing and Mining, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Architecture and Organization. Additionally, he contributed to university examinations as the Chief Supervisor in the Winter-2015 Examination and a committee member for the Summer-2013, Summer-2015, and Summer-2018 Examinations. He also played a key role in institutional development as a member of the Admission Committee, NBA & NAAC core committees at the department level, and as the convener of the National Level Technical Symposium “POCKET 16” organized by the CSE Department on March 16, 2016.

Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Bapurao Deshmukh College of Engineering, Wardha, from November 26, 2008, to April 30, 2011. He taught subjects such as Unix and Shell Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, and Operating Systems while also serving as a Department Exam Committee Member.

Achievement

He was the first university topper (merit) in M.Tech (Information Technology) and received the Best Paper Award at the 2021 International Conference on Computational Performance Evaluation (ComPE), organized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, Meghalaya, India, from December 1st to 3rd, 2023. He has actively participated in various conferences, including presenting the paper “Label Dependency Classifier using Multi-Feature Graph Convolution Networks for Automatic Image Annotation” at ComPE 2021 in Shillong, India. He also presented his research on “Visual-Based Page Segmentation for Deep Web Data Extraction” at the International Conference on Soft Computing for Problem Solving (SocProS 2011) held from December 20-22, 2011. Additionally, he contributed to the Computer Science & Engineering Department at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, by presenting “A Critical Analysis of Learning Approaches for Image Annotation Based on Semantic Correlation” from December 13-15, 2022. His work on “A Survey on Assisting Document Annotation” was featured at the 19th International Conference on Hybrid Intelligent Systems (HIS) at VIT Bhopal University, India, from December 10-12, 2022. Furthermore, he co-authored a study titled “Review on Improving Lifetime of Network Using Energy and Density Control Cluster Algorithm,” which was presented at the 2018 IEEE International Students’ Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science (SCEECS) in Bhopal, India.

Education

She completed her Doctorate in Physiology at Marmara University, Institute of Health Sciences, Turkey, from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, she earned her Postgraduate degree in Orthopedic Rehabilitation from the same institute between 1999 and 2002. Her academic journey began with an Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from Istanbul University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, where she studied from 1995 to 1999.

Research 

Her research focuses on physiotherapy and rehabilitation, with a strong academic background in the field. She has been serving as an Associate Professor at Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydinlar University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, since 2021. Prior to this, she worked as an Assistant Professor from 2016 to 2021 and as a Lecturer from 2011 to 2015 at the same institution.

She has been actively involved in various research projects in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, supervising both postgraduate and doctoral students. Her ongoing research includes a randomized controlled trial on graded motor imagery as an adjunct to physiotherapy in chronic rotator cuff-related pain and an investigation into the sensorimotor representation of body schema in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis compared to healthy individuals. In 2024, she supervised a postgraduate study on the effect of manual lymph drainage in treating breast edema in patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy. Additionally, she is leading a doctoral study examining the effects of tactile stimulation, swimming exercise, or their combination on oxidative stress, inflammation, amyloid beta, neurogenesis, neurotrophic factors, and molecular signaling in an Alzheimer’s model. Her recent research includes a 2023 retrospective study on the effects of tumor type and treatments on lymphedema levels in breast cancer patients undergoing complex decongestive lymphedema therapy. She also supervised a 2021 postgraduate study exploring the effects of swimming exercise, low-level laser, or their combination on degeneration, inflammation, oxidative stress, utrophin protein, and irisin peptide in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (MDX) mice.

Dr. S. Khodarahimi holds multiple academic degrees in psychology, including a B.A. in Clinical Psychology from Shiraz University, Iran (1987), and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Meshed Ferdowsi University, Iran (1994), where he achieved a GPA of 18.93. He earned his first PhD in Clinical Psychology from Atlantic International University, USA, in 2005, with a GPA of 3.76. Further advancing his expertise, he completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2010, receiving an “Excellent” rating. In 2020, he obtained a second PhD in Psychology from Lorestan University, achieving a remarkable GPA of 19.61. His research has focused on various aspects of psychology, including psychotherapy, personality structures, workplace stress, and sleep and dream quality in individuals with anxiety disorders.

Work experience

Dr. S. Khodarahimi has held several academic and administrative positions throughout his career. From 2000 to 2022, he served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Islamic Azad University, Eghlid Branch. Additionally, between 2000 and 2006, he held the role of Vice President for Research at the same institution and was a member of the Research Council for the First Zone of Islamic Azad University.

His earlier academic roles include serving as a contractual faculty staff member in the Psychology Department at Bavanat Payam Nour University, Fars, Iran (1999–2002), and as a faculty staff member of the Research Group for Behavioral Sciences at the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR), Shiraz (1998–1999). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in General Psychology from Payame Noor University of Abadeh Center in 2014, where he conducted a research project titled Comparison of Early Maladaptive Schemas Among Three Groups of Men Dependent on Opium, Under Treatment, and Non-Dependent Over 15 Years of Age in Shiraz City. In 2023, he completed his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the Islamic Azad University, Kish International Branch. From 2019 to 2024, he worked as a Psychologist at the Social Emergency Center under the Welfare General Bureau of Fars Province in Shiraz, Iran. Education

averi Hatti is a dedicated researcher and educator in the field of VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, and Hardware Security. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore, focusing on FPGA-based security architectures. With a strong academic background, she holds an M.Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems from VTU Regional Office, Gulbarga, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SLN College of Engineering, Raichur.

Kaveri has extensive teaching experience, having served as a Lecturer at Tagore Memorial Polytechnic College and Government Polytechnic College in Raichur before joining Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore, as a Teaching Assistant in 2022. Her expertise lies in FPGA design, Verilog, RTL design, and hardware security implementations, utilizing tools like Xilinx ISE, VIVADO, ModelSim, and Cadence.

Education

He completed his education at Org. Kenan Evren School from 2000 to 2008, followed by Gaziantep Anadolu High School from 2008 to 2012. He then pursued his medical training at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine from 2012 to 2018. After earning his medical degree, he continued his specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery as a resident at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine from November 2018 to February 2024. In April 2024, he joined Ankara Research and Training Hospital, where he continues to work in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery.

 

Work experience

He has participated in various courses and workshops to enhance his expertise in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. He attended the Resident Ethics Course at Hacettepe University’s Department of History of Medicine and Medical Ethics on January 10-11, 2019. He also completed the 5th Basic Residency School organized by the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery in Bolu, Turkey, from January 22-25, 2020. Further advancing his skills, he took part in the 15th Advanced Residency School in Antalya, Turkey, from April 20-24, 2023. In addition to his clinical and surgical training, he has contributed to academic literature by co-authoring book chapters. He co-wrote Age-Related Changes in Trunk Aesthetics in Beauty, Aging, and Anti-Aging (1st ed., Elsevier, 2022) alongside G. G. Üstün and S. Yıldızdal. He also contributed to Dudak ve Damak Yarıkları Hacettepe Ekip Yaklaşım, co-authoring “Apert and Crouzon Syndrome” with İbrahim Vargel.

He has achieved remarkable academic success, securing 16th place in the National Examination for Specialty in Medicine among over 18,000 participants. Additionally, he ranked 571st in the National Student Selection and Placement Examination out of more than 2 million candidates.

Education

She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Seville (1995-2000) and later pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology at the University of Granada (2000-2002). She completed an Advanced Studies Diploma as part of her PhD Programme in Human Nutrition at the University of Granada (2004-2005). In 2007, she was awarded a Doctorate (PhD) in Food Science and Technology, achieving cum laude distinction, along with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of Granada. Her doctoral thesis, titled The Importance of Diet in the Digestibility and Metabolism of Iron and Calcium in Adolescence: Influence of the Consumption of Maillard Reaction Products, was conducted at the Department of Nutrition, Estación Experimental del Zaidín (CSIC), Granada.

Research Focus
Since completing her doctoral thesis, her professional experience has been dedicated to research in Human Nutrition and Food Science and Technology, with a particular focus on food safety. Her research has primarily investigated the technological, toxicological, nutritional, and physiological implications of the Maillard reaction (a non-enzymatic browning reaction).

Her nutritional and physiological research has involved conducting both in vitro and in vivo studies to assess how diets rich in processed foods—and therefore high in Maillard reaction products—affect mineral bioavailability.

Her toxicological research focuses on the chemical contaminants generated during food processing, both regulated and emerging compounds. She investigates their presence, exposure levels, chemical formation processes, and mitigation strategies, aiming to improve food safety while preserving the organoleptic and nutritional properties of processed foods.

By estimating dietary exposure to these compounds and assessing the associated risks, her work provides a scientific foundation for food safety agencies to implement measures that reduce the consumption of harmful compounds such as acrylamide and furanic compounds. This research is particularly relevant for preventing potential toxicological effects in the general population and vulnerable groups.

Experience

She has extensive professional experience in the fields of pharmacy, food safety, and scientific research. She worked as a Pharmaceutical Inspector for the Junta de Extremadura in August 2001 and August 2002, holding a Senior Professional title in both roles. She also completed a quality control internship focusing on HACCP in hospital kitchens under the supervision of Dr. Luis Miguel Luengo Pérez at Hospital Infanta Cristina (Badajoz) in July 2002. In March 2003, she served as an Instructor for a Food Handlers’ Course with Training Plans Management, S.L.

Her research career began with a predoctoral fellowship (FPU) funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport at the Institute of Animal Nutrition, Estación Experimental del Zaidín (CSIC), Armilla (Granada) from July 2003 to May 2006. She then continued as a Predoctoral Researcher under a contract with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) from February 2006 to June 2007.

Following her PhD, she held several postdoctoral research contracts, including at the Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (Cáceres) in early 2008. From March 2008 to February 2010, she worked on a research project at the Department of Nutrition and Food Science, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Granada, investigating the formation of chemical contaminants such as acrylamide and furan in infant foods. She continued at the same department from April 2010 to March 2011, researching advanced glycation end products (AGEs) in commonly consumed foods and their effects on inflammatory markers in diabetics.

From July 2011 to April 2014, she was a Senior Technical and Professional Activities Specialist at the Institute of Food Science and Technology and Nutrition (ICTAN), CSIC, Madrid, working on the FP7-KBBE-2010-4-265558 project, which focused on mitigating and eliminating process contaminants while maintaining food quality. She remained at ICTAN, CSIC, Madrid, from May 2014 to July 2016, researching the anti-glycation potential of foods enriched with natural extracts under the 201370E027 project.
